Bloody wars, mushroom clouds, collapsed skyscrapers, vulnerable populations – these are part of the human condition in today's violent world.
But there is cause for hope. Millions of people are working for peace. Global policy and service networks have emerged as transnational problem solvers. International institutions to provide peace and security for all people are gaining capacity and effectiveness.
Philanthropy has a critical role to play in bringing about a more peaceful world. The Peace and Security Funders Group is a network of foundation staff, trustees, and philanthropists committed to doing everything they can to promote international peace and security. Together we are greater than the sum of our parts.
