PSFG membership is open to private foundations, public foundations, operating foundations, charitable trusts, other grantmaking programs or individual philanthropists who make significant contributions, grants or expenditures for activities to promote peace and global security. We do not accept applications from those who relate to other members primarily as a grantseeker. All staff, consultants and trustees of Members are welcome and encouraged to take full advantage of PFSG activities and benefits.
Dues/Contributions
To ensure the continued effectiveness of the Peace and Security Funders Group, the group’s members have adopted voluntary contribution guidelines. It is recommended that all members support PSFG annually with dues and/or grants at a level of approximately one percent or more of their other peace and security contributions, expenditures, and/or grants, up to a $25,000 limit, the precise amount to be determined by the member. Although each member is strongly encouraged to support PSFG, the full benefits of membership remain open to all, regardless of contribution.
How to Apply
We welcome applications from grant-giving and operating foundations. We do not accept applications from organizations that are grantseekers. To be considered, you must send by email or post a copy of your current guidelines, if any; a list of peace and security grants or contributions made in the last two years; and/or the most recent annual report.
