Katherine Magraw has been the Director of the PSFG since February 2006.
Katherine has broad experience in national security policy, as a grantmaker, policymaker and activist. She was program officer for the W. Alton Jones Foundation. Prior to that she served as Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of State for International Policy and as a Foreign Policy Specialist for the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency where she was responsible for the negotiations of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. She also was a Legislative Aide for Senator Paul Wellstone and held several positions in non-governmental organizations. Katherine has a Ph.D. from MIT and a BA from Yale College.
